Crystal River 2024

Troop 344’s high adventure experience this summer will be a scuba diving certification and adventure to Crystal River, Florida. Scuba certification will begin by completing an online course in Ohio during the upcoming spring. In Florida we will have three days of instruction which includes five confined water dives and two open water dives in fresh water springs and rivers. After we everyone is scuba certified we will do an additional drift dive in the Rainbow River, one of the local crystal clear spring fed rivers which have up to 200 feet of visibility. In addition, we will snorkel with manatees, swim in the Gulf of Mexico, and kayak for a day on the Chassahowitzka River.
