Boy Scouts of America Troop 344 | Pemberville, Ohio
Troop 344's goals can best be summed up by a quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt, "We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." Feel free to join us as we help develop skills in our Scouts that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Troop meetings are Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:30pm during the school year on the second floor of the old Pemberville Elementary School in Pemberville, Ohio. Enter through the back door. We have no regularly scheduled meetings during the summer. Click here to obtain a map and directions to our meeting location. You can contact our Troop Leaders at email@example.com.
We never fail when we try to do our duty, we always fail when we neglect to do it.

How to Cross a River Posted: April 21, 2019 - One day three scouts were hiking along and came upon a wide, raging river. They needed to get to the other side, but it looked impossible to ford, and they had no idea of how to do it.
The first Scout prayed, "Please God, give me the strength to cross this river."
Poof! God gave him big strong arms and legs and he was able to swim across the river, though it took him three hours to do it.
Seeing this, the second Scout prayed, "Please God, give me the strength and ability to cross this river."
Poof! God gave him a rowboat and he was able to row across the river, though it took him two hours to do it.
The third Scout observed how this had worked out for the other two Scouts, so he also prayed, saying, "Please God, give me the strength, ability, and intelligence to cross this river."
Poof! God turned him into a Scoutmaster. He looked at the trail map, and in a minute walked across the bridge.
