Troop 344/9344 Canoed for a day on the rapidly flowing Pine River near Cadillac, Michigan before beginning the 42 mile hike of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Trail along the shore of Lake Superior. We started our hike in Grand Marais and ended in Munising, Michigan. The trail is part of the North Country National Scenic Trail and is unquestionably one of Michigan’s classic hikes. This trek took us past lighthouses, shipwrecks, giant sand dunes, towering sandstone cliffs, and sandy beaches.
